Feest
edit

On Monday, January 2nd, we were supposed to have a party. A party in the middle of the winter. But it was snowing and the roads were slippery. Therefore it would be a month later. In February it was bad weather as well. It would have been better to hold it in the spring, perhaps the end of April when all the tulips and daffodils are blooming. Or otherwise in the summer when the days are long and the nights short. But no, it had to be in winter at all cost. In February, on a Friday... Why couldn't it be on a Saturday or a Sunday. Then we wouldn't have had to take days off.

- Annie: Well, then I'd rather wait until doctor Bijlsma is back.
- assistant: That's fine, how about a quarter past ten in the morning?
- Annie: Fine, then I'll come the day after tomorrow.

- Doctor Bijlsma: Good morning, mrs. Van 't Hof. Tell me what it going on.
- Annie: I have had pain in my abdomen for a while. Not always, but it keeps coming back.
The doctor asks her for more details
- Doctor Bijlsma: Well, here in my office I can not really find that out. I am referring you to an internist. First go have some blood taken for testing en then the assistant will make an appointment for you.
Annie has her blood taken and goes to the assistant.
- assistant: I already called the hospital and tried to make an appointment. Next week the internist is not there, so it will be the beginning of next month. On Tuesday the second at three p.m. Is that possible?
- Annie: Yes, I think so.
- assistant: The results of the blood tests will probably be ready next Monday. Why don't you drop by at four, then we will know more.
- Annie: Alright, then I'll see you Monday.
- assistant: Till Monday then!
- Annie: Thank you so much! Good bye.
