Chili is a type of spicy stew of Tex-Mex origin, generally containing chile peppers. There is dispute over the components of chili, with arguments that 'true' chili does not contain beans/tomatoes/meat/etc. However, chili as it is commonly known in the USA typically features tomatoes, beans, and ground meat, along with other vegetables.
