Donkey Kong Country

Donkey Kong Country is a video game starring Donkey Kong. It was developed by Rare Ltd., a British video game developer, and published by Nintendo. The game was released for the Super Nintendo in 1994, 11 years after the previous Donkey Kong game, Donkey Kong 3. In 2000, it was re-released for the Game Boy Color, and in 2003, the game was re-released for the Game Boy Advance. Neither of these versions were re-released, although the Super Nintendo was re-released several times, as with many best-selling video games.

In 2006, the original Super Nintendo version was re-released for the Wii's Virtual Console in Europe, Australia, and Japan. In 2007, it was released for the service in North America. On November 25, 2012, for reasons unknown, Donkey Kong Country and its sequels were delisted from the Wii Virtual Console, but on October 30, 2014, the games were relisted in Europe and Australia. The same year, around the same time, the game was re-released for the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe, Australia, and Japan. In early 2015, it was released for the service in the United States and Canada on February 26, 2015. In March 2016, Donkey Kong Country was ported to the New Nintendo 3DS's Virtual Console. Donkey Kong Country is one of the 21 games included on the Super NES Classic Edition, and was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online on July 15, 2020.

Level walkthroughEdit

At the beginning of each level page in the walkthrough, you will see some stats listed in the following format:

*Bonus Rooms: [number goes here]
*Animal Friends: [name(s) go here]
*Animal Tokens: [name(s) go here]
*Difficulty: [number]/10
*Extra Lives: [number]
*Level Warp: [only add if the level has a warp]

Enemies means what types of enemies are in the level. Bonus room just tells you how many bonus rooms there are. Animal Helpers tells you what kinds of animals you can find in the level, if there are any. Animal tokens tells you what animal tokens (three of which take you to a bonus room) you can find in a level, outside of bonus rooms. Difficulty is a rating on how difficult the level is from one to ten, ten being the hardest. Extra lives tells you how many life balloons there are in the level. This does not include the KONG letters, Getting 100 Bananas, or jumping on eight enemies in a row. Level Warps are a barrel that warps you to the end of the level, found at the beginning of some levels. Exclusive to the Game Boy Advance version are photographs, which are hidden in most levels.
