The infinitive in Lombard has two tenses: present and past, the past is obtained as a compound tense of the present. The present tense has four endings:
- I conjugation: -à, derived from the Latin -ĀRE.
- II conjugation: -é, derived from the Latin -ĒRE.
- III conjugation: -(er), derived from the Latin -ĔRE.
- IV conjugation: -ì, derived from the Latin -ĪRE.
The Lombard infinitive can be substantiated.
