Month is called ਮਾਹ in Punjabi and date ਮਿਤੀ. The following are the months of the Gregorian calendar.

  2. ਫ਼ਰਵਰੀ = February
  3. ਮਾਰਚ = March
  4. ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ = April
  5. ਮਈ = May
  6. ਜੂਨ = June

  9. ਅਗਸਤ = August
  10. ਸਤੰਬਰ = September
  11. ਅਕਤੂਬਰ = October

The following are the months of the Vernacular calendar. The vernacular calendar is in the lunar system. Its a very important part of Punjab.

  1. ਚੇਤ = Chet (March)
  2. ਵੈਸਾਖ = Vaisakh (April)
  3. ਜੇਠ = Jeth (May)
  4. ਹਾੜ = Harh (June)
  5. ਸਾਉਣ = Saaun (July)
  6. ਭਾਦੋਂ = Bhadon (August)
  7. ਅੱਸੂ = Assu (September)
  8. ਕੱਤਕ = Katak (October)
  9. ਮੱਘਰ = Maghar (November)
  10. ਪੋਹ = Poh (December)
  11. ਮਾਘ = Magh (January)
