ਕਮਲ - Lotus flower

Flower is called ਫੁਲ in Punjabi. ਕਮਲ i.e. lotus, a symbol of spirituality, fruitfulness, wealth, knowledge and illumination, is the National flower of India. Some other flowers are called:

1. ਗੁਲਾਬ = rose
2. ਚਮੇਲੀ = jasmine
3. ਗੇਂਦਾ = marigold
4. ਨਰਗਸ = narcissus
5. ਗੁਲ ਬਹਾਰ = daisy
6. ਗੁਲਦਾਉਦੀ = chrysanthemum
7. ਚਾਂਦਨੀ = plumeria
8. ਗੁਲਨਾਰ = carnation
9. ਡੇਹਲੀਆ = dahlia
10. ਮਹਿੰਦੀ = mignonette, henna
11. ਸੂਰਜਮੁਖੀ = sunflower
12. ਸਰ੍ਹੋਂ = mustard
13. ਰਾਤ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ = night blooming jasmine
14. ਚੰਬੇ ਦੀ ਕਲੀ = Cabe of clove
