The Tubbataha Reef (Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park) is a protected area in the Philippines located in the middle of the Sulu Sea. It is a marine and bird sanctuary and regarded as one of the world's finest diving destinations, either snorkelling or SCUBA. It has been a World Heritage Site since 1999.

According to CNN Travel, Tubbataha is considered one of the best dive sites in the world. Since the reefs are in the middle of the sea, the only way in is by boat. The closest inhabited islands are Cagayancillo, but boat trips usually start from Puerto Princesa, from where it takes about ten hours to reach the reef.
