Welcome to the Administrative Assistance reading room. You can request assistance from administrators for handling a variety of problems here and alert them about problems which may require special actions not normally used during regular content editing. Please be patient as administrators are often quite busy with either their own projects or trying to perform general maintenance and cleanup.
You can deal with most vandalism yourself: fix it, then warn the user. If there is repeated vandalism by one user, lots of vandalism on a single page, or vandalism from many users, tell an admin here, or in #wikibooks (say
!admin to get attention).
For more general questions and assistance that doesn't require an administrator, please use the Assistance Reading Room.

Good day all, I have resigned as a local administrator earlier in the day as I'm inactive and don't see any strong reasons for me to keep the local rights. I will continue to serve the community in the capacity of a global sysop, and hope to see you guys soon :) --Minorax«¦talk¦» 12:20, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Minorax Thank you for the heads-up! Cheers —Kittycataclysm (discuss • contribs) 15:10, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
In the recent days, I found several users making userspace sandboxes related to education (such as User talk:Pluviophile5). Many other examples appear in the userspace new page list. Many of them start like "Education in COUNTRY", and then refer to Uzbekistan, end with some references (Possible WB:SPAM?). Are these pages done by same user? Can these sandboxes be accepted as a Wikibooks entry, and should we allow these type of userspace usage? WB:WIW says "Wikibooks is for textbooks, annotated texts, instructional guides, and manuals" and the userpages I mentioned don't look like a manual (speedy deletion needed?). What do our admins think about these things? MathXplore (discuss • contribs) 03:00, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- I flagged a few of these but haven't deleted any (yet). I'm sure this was a thing a few months ago also.--Xania talk 04:52, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- More of this appeared today. I'm inclined to just delete it all.--Xania talk 05:26, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
