To make blackberry mush:



  1. Put the fruit in a pot
  2. Simultaneously:
    • Mash the fruit to a pulp
    • Add sugar, cornstarch and water
    • Simmer or boil, uncovered, to reduce moisture
  3. Serve hot over ice cream, or cold as jam

Raspberries, plums, blueberries, and peaches may be cooked in the same way.
