Ager soup is a typical Nigerian draw soup which is prepared from the pulp obtained from ager tree. It is commonly consumed by Tiv people.



  1. To remove pulp from the ager tree, pound gently for few minutes.
  2. Add water in a pot and boil the pounded pulp.
  3. Blend pepper, rinse beef and fish.
  4. Add palm oil, boiled pulp, beef and fish in a pot and cook for few minutes.
  5. Add maggi cubes and salt to taste.
  6. Stir slowly and cook for few minutes.
  7. Ager soup is ready.
