Agave syrup or agave nectar, also known as Xagave, is a syrup derived from the agave cactus.

Characteristics edit

Agave syrup is thin, with colors ranging from darker yellow to almost transparent.[1] It has a neutral flavor and is overall 1.5–2 times sweeter than table sugar due to its high fructose content.[2]

Use edit

Agave syrup is frequently used as a substitute for table sugar or a vegan alternative to honey.[2]
