Arenaria serpyllifolia
thyme-leaved sandwort
Although there are about eight North American native Arenaria (sandwort) species and a single Old World Arenaria species known to have naturalized in North America, that introduction, the diminutive thyme-leaved sandwort (Arenaria serpyllifolia) is the only Arenaria species known to have naturalized in New York, where it's a common weed in dry disturbed areas and occasionally found in sparsely vegetated natural areas.
