Ingredients
editProcedure
edit- Lay a lumpia wrapper on your work surface. Arrange a piece of banana and jackfruit in a line down the center.
- Fold the sides of the wrapper towards the center, then roll everything up. Brush the overlapping end of the wrapper with a little water, then press against the roll to seal.
- Repeat the filling and rolling steps to make a total of 10 rolls.
- Heat an inch of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the rolls and fry until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from the pan, and let any excess oil drain.
- Add the sugar to a heavy-bottomed pan. Carefully heat over medium heat, stirring periodically, until the sugar is fully melted. Make sure not to let it burn.
- Remove the melted sugar pan from the heat. Immediately add the rolls to the pan and turn to coat with caramelized sugar.
- Remove the rolls from the sugar and serve.
