This is a recipe to cook beans in Instant Pot multicooker.

edit- Soak the beans in water for 4–12 hours. Drain the water.
- Place the soaked beans, water, garlic, onion, and ham pieces in the Instant Pot.
- Seal the lid, close the valve, and set the "manual" button to 35 minutes.
- Use a natural pressure release or the quick pressure release (see how).
- When the valve drops, carefully remove the lid.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve or reuse in other recipes that employs beans.
Notes, tips, and variations
edit- The "manual" button and "pressure cook" button are the same and so interchangeably named for the different models.
- The longer the beans soak, the less cooking time is required.
- Be sure any beans containing the toxin phytohaemagglutinin (e.g. kidney beans) are thoroughly cooked to prevent toxicity.
