Affogato, or "affogato al caffe", is an Italian preparation consisting of gelato or ice cream topped with espresso[1].

  • 1-2 shots espresso, or one long pull shot

  1. Either pour espresso over gelato and serve, or serve them side by side for diner to mix at the table.

  1. Place the ice-cream in a coffee cup.
  2. Boil water in a pan, and then add coffee and sugar to it, and then mix well.
  3. Add brandy to coffee mixture.
  4. Pour coffee mixture over the ice-cream.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with cinnamon powder (optional).
