Rf1 seems like a defense to the Gambit, but Black can play 6...Qxe4+ in which White must give away her queen or allow checkmate.

Actually better was 6. Ng5 which gives away the rook but moves the knight to safety and protects the e4-pawn. After 6...Qxh1+ White can play 7. Bf1!
