editI love the idea of wikibooks. Not all information is encyclopaedic, so let's make other types of books!
But... I'm not sure if the process of writing a book, of composing the narrative, is suited to wiki style collaboration. The problems are evident in various place here. For example I'm interested in learning Brazilian Portuguese. But there's lots of different ways to teach a language. Different ways of ordering the lessons etc. Hence different people try to write the same book in different ways.
