Template:TRS-style/doc
This page is part of Wikibooks Trainz Wikibook Administration. • It lists a template which may be useful editing Trainz. Trainz specific (special purpose) templates will be found in or under Category:Trainz Templates, which also lists/links to this Help page. |
This is a documentation subpage for Template:TRS-style It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
editThis template is used to set an uniform appearance on Trainz Projects, their Admin and template pages.
- It presents the same color (as seen here as background) for all such pages, normally used in a
<div style={{TRS-style}}>
manner.
- but will take parameters 1, 2, or 3 and expand the formatting withing the quoted style when given such parameters (i.e. {{{1}}} etc.).
- Internal logic (output)
<includeonly>"background:{{{BG|#dbfffb}}};{{#if:{{{box|}}}|<!-- skip - inherit from table -->|<!-- ---->width:{{{W|98%}}};max-width:{{{MW|99%}}};}}<!-- ----> border:{{{border|{{{B|2px solid navy}}}}}};<!-- ----> {{#if:{{{box|}}}<!-- | margin:0 32px 0 2px;| ----> |margin:{{{M|2px}}}; padding: {{{P|2px}}};<!-- ----> |margin: {{{margin|{{{M|1em}}}}}};}} padding:{{{padding|{{{P|2px}}}}}};<!-- ---->}}<!-- ---->;font-face:{{{face{{{FF||{{{Face|Verdana,Arial}}}}}}}}};<!-- ----> font-size:{{{FS|{{{size|10pt}}}}}}; {{{1|}}};{{{2|}}};{{{3|}}};"</includeonly>
EXTENDED MODES
edit- The template will also take stock formatting parameters BG, B, M, or P to define respectively: 'background', 'border', 'margin' and 'padding' HTML commands. THESE FOUR contain the prefix words just listed with the colon, so only define the desired variables.
Contrast with {{{1}}}, {{{2}}} parameters which must contain the whole HTML format command including the colons.) Note strings passed to these appear later on the style string command, and may override default behavior or BG–P differently in different browsers if they overlap commands. (i.e. Unpredictable behavior, so don't provide a conflict!)
The 'box' switch parameter selects an alternative default mode for inside tables, especially message boxes. P and M can still be used to override individually. It merely saves some typing and gives a predictable behavior and a uniform look.
