Template:R to TRS-case
(Redirected from Template:R from TRS-Case)
This page is part of Wikibooks Trainz Wikibook Administration. • It lists a template which is useful organizing the divisions of the Trainz Wikibook. The template allows a redirect page to target any Trainz Wikibook division desired provided it is a 'different case' (a spelling class) variant of the alternative (more correct?) to which it redirects. |
- Usage
This template auto-categorizes Trainz Wikibooks redirect terms into the Category: redirects to Trainz case-name variants under the general auto-Category:Trainz redirect pages.
- It's proper placement is on the same line as the
#redirect [[Trainz/whatever page name]]
as in the below example assuming the redirect page is Trainz/KIND Scenery-Trackside:
#redirect [[Trainz/KIND scenery-trackside]]{{R to TRS-case}}
- Note this sort of case inconsistency is a feature and hold-over in the N3V wiki, where such tag names do NOT maintain correct case structure with the actual simulator software keywords (e.g. in this case, 'kind scenery-trackside' would be the correct config.txt file entry!
- It will display the message below in Preview when placed, but may not if the template is put on the second or subsequent lines, for the #redirect line stops additional page parsing.
Output Message
edit- When placed correctly on the first line of a redirect page, the page with the edit finished will display

- Template:R from TRS-alt & Template:R to TRS-alt more easily typed and remembered redirect forms of Template:R from Trainz alternative name below.
- Template:R is TRS-title - Pages created from redlinks, with titles worthy of topic coverage all there own. Such redirects add to the To-Do list category: Trainz title name needed. Many such pages should redirect initially to the glossary or Notations appendices with a paragraph explaining the topic, or such other article page or section as provides some basic coverage of the topic.
- Template:R to TRS-plurality - Pages redirected to the other singular or plural suffix and in category:Trainz redirects to other plurality.

- Template:L of TRS-terms, {{List of TRS-terms}} - Auto-categorizes Article or Redirect Pages to Category:Trainz terms
Forms somewhat or wholly depreciated:
- Template:R from Trainz alternative name - for pages which have been given 'better' (more searchable) names or aliased for easing searching. This is used for page aliased names where both are in the Trainz/subpage_name form, or the page is a general knowledge page that does not neatly fall into a book division such as AM&C, references, etcetera, versus target pages where the text is a subpage of those divisions.
- Template:R from Trainz - auto-categorized Trainz Wikibooks redirect terms into the auto-Category: redirects from Trainz pages. This was the original redirect template, whose use is now depreciated in favor of the most correct from the above list.
- Template:R from Trainz2 - This template is used on redirect pages to eventually be deleted, that were ear-marked as split offs into a separate volume, now figured to be a false start... and gained nothing important but more complexity. Maintenance and redirects Auto-category is Trainz false starts.
