The Sega Genesis Mini was released at a cost of $80 US dollars on the 19th of September, 2019,[1][2] making it among the final console launches of the decade.

The Sega Genesis Mini was followed by the Mega Drive Mini 2.

The system uses the Zuiki Z7213.[3]
