This is a list of projects that have been either unmaintained or completely abandoned.

Quasijarus

Quasijarus is a fork of 4.3BSD-Tahoe. In turn, 4.3BSD-Tahoe was one of the releases by the Computer Systems Research Group at Berkeley. This fork from a version of BSD earlier than 4.4 is possible because Caldera had freely licensed the original Unix code in BSD (originally requiring a license from AT&T).

The "International Free Computing Task Force", which develops Quasijarus, describes it at their home page:

They carried this mission successfully until around the time of the 4.3BSD and 4.3BSD-Tahoe releases (the summer of 1988). However, starting with the 4.3BSD-Reno release (1990) and even more in the following Net/2 and 4.4BSD releases, UCB deviated from the True UNIX mission in a number of ways.

Quasijarus Project has picked classic Berkeley UNIX up from where CSRG effectively dropped it and distributes the once-again-maintained code as 4.3BSD-Quasijarus.
