Nigerian sesame chicken is a very delicious and crispy dish that goes very well with white boiled rice.
Ingredients

- Salt
- Paprika
- Black pepper
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- Garlic, minced
- Honey
- Sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Water
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp finely chopped spring onions

Procedure
edit- Season the chicken with salt, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Coat the chicken with the beaten egg, and let rest for 30 minutes to marinate.
- Mix in the 3 tbsp cornstarch, making sure the chicken is fully coated.
- Heat an inch or two of oil in a pan.
- Place the chicken pieces in the hot oil. Fry for about 6–8 minutes until browned and crispy on each side.
- Remove the chicken from the oil and let cool.
- Heat the sesame oil in a wok. Add minced garlic, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the honey and sugar. Cook for about 3 minutes on medium heat, stirring until thickened.
- Combine the 1 tbsp cornstarch and water, and stir into the sauce.
- Return the cooked chicken to the sauce, and mix to coat well. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions, and cook for 2 minutes over low heat.
- Serve hot.
