Plastic wrap, also known as cling film, Saran wrap, or food wrap, is a thin plastic film that can be used in food preparation.
Plastic wrap has many uses in food preparation. These include, but are not limited to:
- Wrapping or covering dough to protect it from the environment.
- Sealing open containers of food.
- Placing on the surface of a pudding or custard to prevent a skin from forming.
