  1. Boil the cabbage until tender. Drain.
  2. Fry the chopped bacon in butter.
  3. Combine the cooked cabbage, bacon, parsley, egg, cheese, cayenne, and chopped onion. Season to taste with salt.
  4. Transfer mixture to a glass baking dish. Bake 15 minutes at 180˚C.
  5. Serve with toasted bread.
