Qd2 is the most popular continuation. White prepares to castle queenside, but typically doesn't play Bh6 to exchange bishops. This opposite-castling game leads to sharp attacking positions where the two side pawns open the king's castle.

Overwhelmingly popular (160 times more popular in the chess.com database than the second most popular) is 8...Nc6.
