Writing Adolescent Fiction/Character names/Southern girls' names

Usage note

edit

Class is still evident in many parts of the Southern United States, and names can tell background and education. Patrician families will often give their children family names as a first name, and/or use classical names that have a very antebellum feel. Working class families often give two-part names like Bobbi Jo.
