(and subpages) This doesn't look like a textbook to me - it's just a directory of companies. Seems like the same idea as Freeware. – Mike.lifeguard | talk 02:57, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - an attempt to do what http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Filmmaking/ does rather well already. Webaware talk 03:47, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge into Movie Making Manual - The MMM has some problems (more than one) with WB:NP, and this is but one of those situations. Yes, I do agree that the ODP does it much better than what we could ever possibly do here on Wikibooks, but this information does have some value in terms of an appendix that gives some additional information about filmmaking. As something completely independent as a separate Wikibook, this is not something which should remain. --Rob Horning 12:00, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - I usually avoid the topic given the absence of policy on spamvertising but this page (& a few others) say "Please come and place some links here that will be out of date in due course and pointless to readers". Dmoz is the very obvious answer (that is assuming folk can't use google or whatever) - the blender tutorial page is horrendous, the idea that this could "help" anyone is laughable --Herby talk thyme 12:39, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. DMOZ is not GFDL, and so we should not be making decisions to keep or delete content here based on the contents of that website. However, this is certainly not wikibooks-material, and so I think it should be deleted. --Whiteknight (Page) (Talk) 14:17, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Though I agree the information is valuable, I think that a simple link to even a non-GFDL website isn't a bad thing by any means, especially if that website is devoted to keeping a larger, better-maintained repository of exactly this information. IMO the textbook medium isn't the best for rapidly-changing information, this is one actual legitimate reason that textbook publishers need to make so many editions of some books (besides a wish to make money by shuffling question order, lets not go there). - Merge into Movie Making Manual - Books like the MMM will often have a directory like this in an appendix --Cspurrier 21:36, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
