- My name is Jamie Shoemaker. As a linguist in the Washington, DC area, I became interested long ago in serious constructed languages. One, in particular, struck me as brilliant above all the others: Unilingua, as the late French inventor, Noubar Agapoff, called it (rather mysteriously, since the vocabulary of the language is a priori and not based on any existing human language, much less Latin). I decided to take his language, rename it Mirad, more internally consistent; make it more readable in terms of the alphabet; add, amend, and subtract some things in the grammar and vocabulary; then publish it here as a Wikibook called Mirad Grammar for all the world to enjoy. Although the grammar is a complete work, I am still making changes and additions. Notably, I have built an 80,000+ word bi-directional dictionary website, which can be queried inside the Mirad Grammar.
- If you are interested in Mirad, you can contact me on my discussion page and then we can exchange email addresses.
