Who I am and What I doEdit
Hi, I'm 'The Quantifier', a 16 year old teenager with a firm interest in the three areas of Finance, Mathematics and Technology.
I'm currently a student at Peter Symonds College in the UK, where I'm taking A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics and Computing with the aim of studying a degree at Oxford University in Mathematics & Computer Science. My career ambitions centre mainly around where I can put all three areas of interest to good/profitable use, such as Proprietary Trading, Hedge Fund Analysts, Investment Banking Analysts etc. I also have a desire to build a new technology start-up throughout my time in college and university.
My first 'flagship' book will be a book devoted to the subject of Probability, with a theory-based orientation as well as some application-specific chapters as well. This is primarily for personal reference as I progress through my years in further and higher education, but I will be looking to expand this into a concise yet fully comprehensive reference for what is an extremely interesting and useful subject. The aim is to write something that individuals with no advanced knowledge of probability can learn from, right from the start up to the most advanced topics within it.
I will also perhaps work on other books related to my three interests, but my focus will be on the Probability book for now.
"...Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind..." - Gordon Gekko
