How Sauron Returns ___________________ The return of Sauron started with the death of Gollum. As Gollum was falling, He heard Sauron's voice promising to give him the One Ring in exchange for Gollum's life essence which would bring Sauron back. Gollum agreed, but Sauron double-crossed Gollum and kept the ring for himself and got Gollum's life essence. It was now time for Sauron to rule Middle Earth once again. It took 5-6 days for Sauron to regain all of his Orc warriors, but he soon re-gathered his army and now aimed his sights towards Gondor.

Three days after Elrond's arrival in Mirkwood, the elven settlement is attacked and both Elrond and Galadriel are killed by the revived Uruk-Hai leader,Lurtz. Legolas escapes Mirkwood with some Elven citizens and warriors, but he is unable to reach Rivendell because of Orc search parties, so he is forced to take the survivors and settle in the now abandoned city of Erebor where he decides the Elves will rally any other Elven survivors and the Elves will make their finally stand there. The elves of Rivendell flee from the city and a messenger is sent from Erebor telling them the survivors from the attack on Mirkwood are rallying for a final stand there. They soon started to send some of their Ent warriors to Weathertop, Erebor, Gondor, and other places arming for their upcoming battles with Sauron's forces. The Ents decide it is'nt safe for Treebeard to stay in Isengard, so Treebeard decides to take some of his Ent Warriors and head to the Shire where they hope they can evacuate the Hobbits before the war against Sauron reaches the Shire. While Treebeard heads to the Shire, the Ents of Isengard call for more Ents to coming and aid them in their defense of Isengard. More Ents arrive along with some Dwarven warriors led by Gimli. The Shire _________

The hobbits had not found out about the return of Sauron, so everything was back to the way it was before Frodo left the Shire to destroy the One Ring. Frodo calls on the warriors of Dunedain for aid. The Dunedain arrive and the evacuation of the Shire begins. Frodo decides that the Hobbits will be evacuated to Weathertop where they will stay until they can find a new place for the Hobbits to settle where Sauron won't find them. Sauron then sends the resurrected Witch King of Angmar and his Nazgul to go find and kill Frodo so that the forces of Good won't have any way to defeat Sauron. The Nazgul reach the Shire to find Frodo gone, so Sauron commands them to kill anyone left in the Shire. Treebeard, the Ents, the Dunedain, and some Hobbit warriors defeat the 8 Nazgul, but the Witch King escapes. The Hobbits reach Weathertop. Treebeard, the Ents, the Dunedain, and the remaining Hobbits instead of going to Weathertop, head to Osgiliath where they hope they can help Gondor hold off the advancing Orc armies and keep them from reaching the other places arming themselves for the war that is falling upon Middle-Earth.
