About Me: Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Bise. I grew up in Chester, Virginia and lived there most of my life till I came down to Norfolk to attend ODU. I am currently in my junior year of Interdisciplinary Studies Prek-3. I have worked for the YMCA for many years now. I believe that working for the Y has given me many experiences with people of all ages. I love to be at the beach and that is one of the main reasons that I love ODU! I am a huge animal lover and often miss my thirteen year old golden retriever that lives in Chester, but luckily he is able to visit and enjoy the beach! I love spending time with my family and friends and traveling. I have been to England and Ireland as well as Puerto Rico. Next on my places to see is Italy!!

Teaching Philosophy: I believe that all children want to learn, and that the greatest teachers are those that make it an enjoyable experience. We have all had those teachers who make us dread coming to class and I often wonder how those teachers continue to work. I believe that learning should be a hands on experience when ever possible.
