My name is DeNise Foster. I’m a senior at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. I have been living in Virginia for almost 17 years. I am originally from Kansas City, MO. I have three children, two girls and one boy. I have been working with children since I was a teenager. I was the neighborhood babysitter. Originally, I wanted to either an architect or a graphic designer. I worked at a daycare center for seven years. I worked with children ranging in the ages of six weeks to twelve years of age. I work as a teacher assistant at Berkley Campostella Early Childhood Center. I work with three to four years of age.

My philosophy of teaching is to make learning enjoyable, fun, and interesting. By making sure all activities is age appropriate. By getting children involve with wanting to learn about different things. I plan to make sure to introduce the newest technology to the children in my classroom. By letting children use play as one of their learning tools. Seeing that I want to teach Pre-K, I will prepare them for Kindergarten. I will get the children involve with learning new things. I will help with getting parents involve in their child’s education.
