My Educational Philosophy

I believe that being a teacher carries a great deal of responsibility. As a teacher, you need to make sure that all student's needs are being met and that they are all learning the most that they can. This can prove to be a hard challenge with the diversity that is seen in today's classrooms.

I believe all students (boys, girls, different races, and children with disablites) have the right to learn the same way and the same amount. In order to do this however, we need to make sure that we are making adjustments in our teaching for all children to be taught. We also need to make sure that children are really learning the basic skills needed for future learning. This means that we may have to stray from traditional testing and use methods that ensure that all students are comprehending the material. We do have an advantage today in that there are many resources and specialists to help us reach these goals for teaching.
