About the Author
My name is Anna-Kathryn Koch. And yes I go by both names! I'm from a small town in Mississippi so double names are normal! I lived in Mississippi until I was 18 so I'm a very southern girl. After I graduated high school I moved to Lynchburg, VA where I attended Liberty University for a year. After Liberty, I moved to Memphis, TN to live with my best friend and I went to Northwest Community College and worked at a private girl's school. A year later, I moved to Washington, DC, took a break from college and taught pre-school. I loved DC and learned a lot about myself there. A little less than a year ago I moved to West Point, VA, where I currently teach pre-school. I'm attending Rappahannock Community College and ODU and working full time which can get pretty crazy but I love to be busy! In my spare time I usually go to the gym, or go out with my friends. The first picture is just me and the second is me and my best friend going out in DC! I'm the one on the right and the last picture was at my best friend's wedding!
Education Philosophy
My philosophy about education has grown and changed through the few years I've worked with children and worked in schools. I believe that once you gain the respect of the children, you can accomplish anything! Keeping all activities fun and interesting will produce the best learning experience, and learning enviroment.
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove . . . . but the world maybe different because I was important in the life of a child." - Kathy Davis
