- Prospective. Data gathered as part of randomized trial evaluating sucralfate.
- Bowel movements: increased up to week 4, then slowly decreased. At baseline: median 1 BM. At 1 year: median 2 BMs
- Normalized symptoms: at 1 year: frequency, nocturnal BM, cramping, bleeding
- Persistent symptoms at 1 year: urgency, clustering, incontinence
