Rounding

To round a number, you need to look at the numbers right of the decimal. If the first number right of the decimal is bigger than or equal to 5 we add 1 to the number left of the decimal this is known as rounding up. If the first number right of the decimal place is less than 5 we simply rewrite the number again excluding all the numbers right of the decimal place; this is known as rounding down. Note that after the number is rounded up or down all of the numbers right of the decimal are discarded and only the numbers left of the decimal are written.

1.49999999 rounds to 1
1.50000000 rounds to 2
1234.56 rounds to 1235
