Daodejing (literally means "The Book of the Way and its Virtue") was written by Laozi. Laozi was a sage. People believe the book was written around 600 BC.

Dàodéjīng, zuòzhě Lǎozǐ. Lǎozǐ shì yīgè sīxiǎngjiā. Rénmen xiāngxìn zhè běn shū xiě yú gōngyuánqián 600 nián.


It is an important text to Chinese culture. It is very important in Chinese philosophy and religion. It is the main book for Daoism, which is both a philosophy and part of Chinese religion. It also influenced other philosophies in and around China.

Dàodéjīng shì Zhōngguó wénhuà de zhòngyào zhùzuò, zài Zhōngguó zhéxué hé zōngjiào fēicháng zhòngyào, shì Dàojiào de zhǔyào zhùzuò, jìshì yīzhǒng zhéxué yòushì Zhōngguó zōngjiào de yībùfèn, yě yǐngxiǎng Zhōngguó hé zhōubiān dìqū de zhéxué.
