There is a logical design to the Shavian alphabet. Sounds that are related usually have some similarities in the way the letters look as well.

We will begin by teaching you the vowels of Shavian.

We will replace standard English vowels with Shavian vowels and keep the English consonants.

This will allow you to gradually learn the Shavian letters little by little while also leveraging your existing knowledge of English.

Starting with the vowels will be good because Latin English vowels are already so nonsensical that this will be a benefit to you no matter what you end up doing with Shavian. It will get you thinking more about all of the strange homonyms and pronunciations in English.
