The VTech Variety was released in 1983.^[1] Little more is known about the history of the console.

Technology

The CPU and LCD for the System is located on the cartridge.^[1]^[2]^[3]

Notable games

At least six games were released for the VTech Variety.^[1] Some game cartridges had dual layer LCDs to contain two games in one package, increasing portability.^[1]
