History
editThe SHG Black Point (type FS 1003/FS 2000) was developed by SHG, a company based in the city of Munich in West Germany.[1]
The SHG Black Point was released in West Germany in 1982 at a cost of 168 Deutschmarks.[1][2] Two compatible PC-50x models of the Black Point were released: the type FS 1003 and the type FS 2000[3]. There are other two incompatible Black Point consoles: the "Black Point Multicolor FS 1001" (four fixed pong games, no cartridges) and the "Black Point 10 Tele Sports FS 1002" (ten fixed pong games, no cartridges).[4]
Technology
editThe two consoles lacks a processor and the game is entirely implemented in cartridges like all PC-50x family first generation consoles. These cartridges contain an AY-3-8xxx chip from General Instrument.[2]
