History of video games/Platforms/FlarePlay
History
editCox launched FlarePlay as a television gaming service.[1]
References to the FlarePlay service exist as early as August 28th, 2015, with the launch predating that time.[2]
A monthly subscription fee of $9.99 was assessed to FlarePlay subscribers.[3]
The FlarePlay service began ending service at the end of February of 2016 and shuttered completely by May of 2016.[1][4] With the discontinuation, Cox removed most of it's online presence on its websites, leaving little information remaining about the microconsole.[5]
Technology
editThough a subscription service, a dedicated microconsole was required for operation.[6]
Games
editMore then 100 games were included in the service.[7]
