The Turnir (Tournament) was a 1978 console exclusively released in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).[1] The system was produced by the Ministry of the Electronics Industry and cost between 150 and 96 Soviet rubles.[1] Though not branded using the Elektronika name, it bears common organizational heritage with the portable game consoles released under that brand.

Production ended in 1982.[1]

Technology

The system was based on the western General Instrument AY-8-8500 chip.[1]

The internals of the console is known for how clean and well engineered it is.[2]
