Description: This lesson contains some basic greetings. There are approximately 10 vocabulary words and 5 phrases. This lesson has no prerequisite lessons, although the Aleph-Bet would be useful.

Adjectives

טוֹב — good (masculine, singular) tov

Can be used with appropriate time of day (morning, afternoon, evening, night) as a greeting.

How are you? (to a man; Ma sh'lomkha)

How are you? (to a woman; Ma sh'lomekh)

Exercises

Translate the following conversation into Hebrew:

"Hello!" "How are you?"(Translate to a man, then a woman.) "Good." "Goodbye, and good night." "Goodbye."
