Greek Mythology/Major Gods/Anemoi
The Anemoi were a group of wind gods, each with his own direction. Aeolus, the God of Storms, was the leader of the Anemoi and the only member who controlled all four directions. Boreas controlled the north wind and brought winter, Notus controlled the south wind and brought autumn, Zephyrus brought the west wind and brought spring and early summer, and Eurus controlled the east wind.
In Roman mythology, the Anemoi were the Venti, Latin for "wind". They all had different names but had similar occupations with the Greek versions.
