  1. Season the beef with ginger powder, stock cubes, thyme, and black pepper. Let rest in a cool place for 20 minutes.
  2. Fry the seasoned beef and sliced onion in a frying pan. Add the mushrooms and red bell pepper, and season with salt. Cook for a few minutes, and set aside.
  3. Place the diced potatoes in a pot and cover with water. Season with salt, and cook for about 20 minutes until tender. Drain any excess water and mash the potatoes.
  4. Mix the cheese, butter, and milk into the potatoes until smooth.
  5. Serve the mashed potatoes with the beef.
