- Season the beef with ginger powder, stock cubes, thyme, and black pepper. Let rest in a cool place for 20 minutes.
- Fry the seasoned beef and sliced onion in a frying pan. Add the mushrooms and red bell pepper, and season with salt. Cook for a few minutes, and set aside.
- Place the diced potatoes in a pot and cover with water. Season with salt, and cook for about 20 minutes until tender. Drain any excess water and mash the potatoes.
- Mix the cheese, butter, and milk into the potatoes until smooth.
- Serve the mashed potatoes with the beef.
