Faten tsaki is a a very popular corn porridge common among the people from northern Nigeria.




  1. Blend the tomato and chile pepper to a smooth paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pot for 2 minutes. Add the diced onion.
  3. Stir in the seasoning cubes, salt, curry powder, and ground crayfish. Add some water, and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the corn grits. Top up with water, and simmer, stirring intermittently.
  5. Stir in the spinach. Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Serve.
