Biomedical Engineering Theory And Practice/Biomedical Instrumentation
The concept of Biomedical Instruments has greatly evolved from simple instruments such as Thermometers and Stethoscopes into more sophisticated Magnetoencephalograms and Magnetocardiograms. This is a natural response for the demand of medical professionals for accurate and reliable medical instruments. The number of medical instruments has grown to more than 10,000, and the complexity of these instruments has grown at the same pace.[1]
