France

When you think of France, you think of a country in Europe, right? Well, several parts of France are located in North America: the Caribbean islands--such as Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy, as well as Clipperton Island (west of Mexico), and the islands Saint Pierre and Miquelon near Newfoundland in Canada. All these islands are part of France, just like Hawaii is part of the United States.

Guadeloupe and Martinique are in the Caribbean, and so are tropical. They were very important to France for their sugar plantations.
