Wikibooks:Wikibooks gazette/2008/01/Featured Books
Are featured books any good? Well, in theory, they are the "best of the best", impeccably factual, and the gem and grace of Wikibooks. In practice, none of these books are any good. Why? For the same reason that, in theory, they are the "grace" of Wikibooks-they are getting edited every day, with supposedly factual or helpful edits coming in to make them even better. I can illustrate this very well. Once, I was browsing though Recentchanges when I came across an edit summary that had said its target page had just lost all its content. This vandalism was done to one of our own checkusers, and I immediately reverted the edit. So, we must make our featured books better. How? That's up to you to decide.
