Tundra edit

Tundra comes from the word tundria meaning treeless plain. It is known for its frost modeled landscape and extremely low temperatures;in the artic winter the average temperature is -34°C, and the summer temperatures vary from 3-12°C. Trees cannot grow and dusk temperatures are below freezing.

Endangered gray wolf (Canis lupus)

There are many different life living peacefully in the Tundra but none is as fascinating as the Canis lupus albus or most commonly known as the grey wolf.It is one of the most endangered predators throughout the tundra region. The Canis lupus albus is the largest type of "grey wolf" on record, which can be found in Northern Europe and Asia. The Canis lupus albus measures from 7 feet also the average weight is 100-125 pounds.

Life Forms edit

There are many other fascinating types of life as the endangered grey wolf. Some walk on land, others live in the vast freezing waters of the Antarctic.

Penguins edit

Penguins are the only flightless birds in the tundra region. They spend about half their lives under the water surface. Most of them travel in groups and huddle together to keep warm in their habitats temperatures.
